This was an awful display from Bramford, even after taking the loss of four first teamers into consideration. Thank goodness the weather abated somewhat from the gales and rain of the early morning, having said that, it would have been better for the visitors if they could all have enjoyed a long lie in!

Trimley were clearly superior on the day and although, having conceded a goal after fifteen minutes, Gary Cox headed Bramford level from a fine Shaun Smith free kick, the result was never really in doubt.

The hosts scored three more before the half time whistle, which at least allowed stand in keeper Mattie Pryke to leave the game, having pulled a muscle after only twenty minutes.

The second half was, if anything a bit more even for fifteen minutes and both Drew Turner and Ian Buxton had chances to reduce the arrears. However, defensive lapses and a reluctance to keep the ball contributed greatly to the hosts scoring three more, although central defender Aaron Boorman did at least make the score 6-2 when he stormed forward and lashed the ball home from close range.

Next week sees the return encounter when hopefully Bramford will show up and perform to the level they are capable of! We can but hope!
