Ipswich Bulls 2 BUOB 13
Bramford boosted their goal difference with an emphatic win at Chantry Park which saw Man of the Match Ian Buxton notch four goals in a 13-2 win. The visitors were three goals up within the first ten minutes and although Ipswich Bulls pulled one back after twenty, Bramford increased their lead to 7-2 by the break. The first half scorers were Ian Buxton with a hat trick, Mattie Pryke, Mattie McLaughlin, Gary Cox and Daniel "Stan" Wragg. Bulls second came with the score at 6-1 and to their credit the home team's attitude and effort never waivered despite their being a man short. Indeed, the keeper made some really excellent saves throughout the game, especially in the second period.
The scoring continued at regular intervals during the second half, first on the score sheet being Scott Welton. It was then the turn of central defender Darren Smith before Asherly Rose, Ian Buxton with his fourth and Gary Cox with his second. The biggest cheer of the morning was reserved for defender Steve Hayward-Jones who after a number of half chances finally got his head on a cross from the right to nod the final goal of the game.
Thanks to referee Oscar Doyle who had a good game in the middle in what is his first season officiating and a well done to Bulls whose attitude throughout was excellent.
