BUOB 7 Ipswich Bulls 0
Bramford's home game was switched to Whitton Sports Centre where they entertained a Bulls side who have not had the best of seasons. Bramford were quickly into their stride and with early midfield dominance through Stuart Rodger and Scott Welton chances came regularly for Ricky O'Neill and Ian Buxton. Ricky O'Neill scored the first and second through great finishes after brilliant individual skill and Adam Turner put the hosts three up in the first fifteen minutes. Stan Wragg completed the scoring before the break striking home well from an accute angle. It really could and should have been a lot more but a combination of wasteful finishing and some good keeping kept the score respectable.
The second half saw the introduction of Mattie McLaughlin and Drew Turner and the game continued to be virtually played in the Bulls half. Mattie McLaughlin was quickly on the mark, cutting in from the left and slotting home into the corner. Ricky O'Neill completed his hattrick with another fine finish and then central defender Aaron Boorman finally hit the target after a great break from the back. Dan Turner had a couple of great opportunities to get on the score sheet but he was denied by the keeper on one occasion and left his effort too late with the other.
Whilst Bramford were happy to boost their goal difference, it should really have been a far greater margin. Thanks to Peter Taylor who had a good game in th emiddle and the best of luck to Bulls who did keep going to the end.
