Copleston 0 BUOB 3

Bramford gained a further valuable three points from their visit to Copleston in a fairly ordinary game payed on a very poor surface.

There was not a lot of fluid football during the first period with Bramford struggling to come to terms with a changed formation and the hosts threatened stand in keeper Mattie Pryke's goal on two or three occasions with central defenders Aaron Boorman and Darren Smith using their great pace to close down these opportunities.

There was one great save by Mattie Pryke who got his hand to a fierce effort from just outside the box to deflect the ball over via the bar. Bramford gradually established some control on the game through the promptings of Stuart Rodger, Ben Warne and Scott Welton and this led to Mattie McLaughlin heading in from close range to put the visitors ahead on the half hour.

A second soon followed from the same player after a set up from Ian Buxton who was working as hard as ever up front.

The second half saw Bramford totally on top and it was something of a surprise that only one further goal was scored when Stuart Rodger converted a penalty after substitute Stan Wragg was pulled back after turning a defender in the box. Adam and Dan Turner both came on in the second period and gave a good account of themselves and overall Bramford were very happy to increase their points tally in their quest for promotion. Our thanks to the man in the middle, Adrian Dawson, who dealt well with the few flashpoints that occurred in a generally well competed affair.

We now turn our attention to Premier opposition in the ITFC Cup next weekend when we host Felixstowe Harpers at Bourne Park.
